After exploring Sausalito’s charming waterfront, many cyclists opt to return to San Francisco by ferry, enjoying panoramic vistas of the bay along the way.
The ride starts from the Bike & Roll shop at Fisherman’s Wharf, it is 8 miles / 13 kilometers to Sausalito, and takes about 1.5 hours. We recommend to allocate another 1-2 hours of sightseeing time once you arrive to Sausalito. The best way to return is via the Blue & Gold ferry, the water taxi allowes bikes onboard and take only 30 minutes.
